Clients and experience
My clients tend to be innovative providers of professional services. Often, I’m writing about fairly technical topics.
One of my favourite-ever clients was a consultancy that helped manufacturers move to Industry 4.0. Working with the Imaginis team, this involved one-pagers, website copy, video scripts, white papers (such as this one: IIOT and the Wild Wild West) and email campaigns. We had a blast until they sold to a large global consultancy that had its own marketing department.
Another long-term client is a consultancy dedicated to making all the scary web background stuff work – meaning, using digital assets to grow old clients and add new ones. Most of the work is email campaigns, landing pages, website pages, and brochures.
Yet another is headed by a young man who attended the University of Chicago, went on to work for a high-pressure consultancy, and then returned to his homeland of Macedonia. We’ve done many projects together, including this snappy video and website copy for an American manufacturer of super-pure microgreen powder. I know a LOT about broccoli now.
Right now I’m busiest with a Toronto start-up that is building both the hardware and software for an advanced 3D imaging solution. Also, a payments enterprise that was a start-up 11 years ago, IPO’d on the Nasdaq in 2021, and now operates in 200+ countries and territories.
